“European carriers are under tremendous cost pressure. By partnering with us for employee travel, they can save money while providing their employees a commercial-grade website and highly rated mobile app that not only allows them to easily shop for and reserve their space-available air travel but also easily book airline employee discounts on hotels, rental cars, and cruises,” says ID90’s Mike Stacy.
Czech Airlines has signed a “multi-year deal” with ID90 Travel, the company that handles airline employees’ travel bookings from flights to hotels, as part of a broader effort by the Smartwings-owned carrier to reduce expenses while maintaining and building its 1,000-plus workforce.
“We wanted to ensure that our employees have the best possible non-rev and corporate travel experience,” said Ivana Vostra, manager, Non-commercial Tickets at Czech Airlines, in a statement. “ID90 Travel’s proven solutions will help our employees make the most of their travel privileges.”
The European carrier joins Hawaiian Air, Frontier Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Aeroflot and dozens of other carriers who have chosen ID90 Travel to automate its staff travel.
ID90 Travel has sought to position itself as a one-stop travel site and mobile app for airlines’ non-revenue travel. The ID90 Travel name refers to the “industry discount” of up to 90 percent that airline employees are eligible for when they fly with their own airline or interline partners and book hotels, cruises, and car rentals.
The actual perks that airline staffers get often come with complications, such as listing for flights on outdated tools and not getting confirmed until the last minute for a planned flight. The Dallas-based company, which was formed in 2006, has over 800,000 airline employees registered in its system with over 400,000 active users at any one time.
The deal comes amid a period of growth for ID90, notes CEO Mike Stacy.
“Czech Airlines is the first of four air carriers we’ve signed in a short amount of time,” Stacy tells Kambr Media. “We believe we were selected because we’re a one-stop-shop for a quality platform with a core set of products and functionalities that are right-sized for any carrier’s staff travel needs.”

Some of the services ID90 offers to airline clients include COBUS Ticketing for automating online and interline duty travel and corporate travel “with complete control and flexibility over eligibility, rules, roles, and authorizations”; its Listing Platform, where employees from any airline can search, view loads, and submit a listing request directly into the ID90 Travel interface; Airline-Employee Hotel Pricing, which allows users to search and book from among one million hotels, resorts and vacation rentals around the world with exclusive discounts of up to 70 percent off prices for popular consumer travel sites.
“Outsourcing staff and corporate travel allows carriers to focus attention and resources on areas of their business where they can improve revenue generation, drive down costs, and work toward an actionable digital strategy,” he adds.
