Low-cost carrier JetSMART has signed a software deal with Kambr to leverage its revenue management platform Eddy to streamline its revenue management practices and retailing operations.

With this deal, JetSMART aims to bring greater agility to its revenue management execution, fresh data insights and an engaging working environment for its analysts.

JetSMART is Poised for Growth

The Chile-based carrier currently has a fleet of 18 aircraft flying to 22 destinations but has grand growth ambitions that include flying 100 million passengers and reaching a fleet size of over 100 aircraft across South America.

Most recently, JetSMART signed a letter of intent with American Airlines to create the broadest network in the Americas.

“Not only does Eddy have the scalability to grow with us, but its intuitive UX with features such as cross-filtering allows us to sort through thousands of flights instantly so we can focus on the flights with the greatest revenue opportunity."

In a press release, Estuardo Ortiz, Chief Executive Officer of JetSMART, said, “By connecting and growing our respective networks and maintaining our distinct business models, we see a compelling value proposition. When completed, this proposed partnership would accelerate JetSMART’s path to becoming the leading South American low-cost carrier while expanding service for American’s customers.”

This means that JetSMART needs a system and technology that can scale with its operations.

The Need for a Scalable Open-Architecture System

“We find Kambr’s open and modular platform very attractive for us, both now and for the future,” said Victor Mejia, Chief Commercial Officer, JetSMART. “Not only does Eddy have the scalability to grow with us, but its intuitive UX with features such as cross-filtering allows us to sort through thousands of flights instantly so we can focus on the flights with the greatest revenue opportunity."

As both a New Skies® customer and Eddy customer, JetSMART will leverage real-time data to accelerate its revenue opportunities. The LCC will benefit from a streamlined workflow, automated triggers and intuitive data visualization to quickly find and execute revenue opportunities.

The systems integration Mejia alludes to recently culminated with Kambr’s first-of-its-kind partnership with Navitaire. The deal enhances the existing integration of Kambr’s Eddy revenue management (RM) system and Navitaire’s New Skies® digital reservations and retailing solution.

As both a New Skies® customer and Eddy customer, JetSMART will leverage real-time data to accelerate its revenue opportunities. The LCC will benefit from a streamlined workflow, automated triggers and intuitive data visualization to quickly find and execute revenue opportunities.

“We love working with ambitious airlines such as JetSMART. We have no doubt they will not just become a leading carrier in the Americas, but one of the biggest carriers in the world, and we’re excited to help get them there,” Jason Kelly, CEO and founder, Kambr. “This deal is a testament to our partnership with Navitaire, and we look forward to bringing transformative capabilities to many more low-cost carriers around the world.”
